(although, i still sit myself down, and glue myself to the screen to watch these ridiculous excuses for tv shows) now, thats agnostics! ;)

Maybe you haven't it experienced it personally, but that doesn't mean you can speak for every other Asian.
People don't want to be oppressed (and are ridiculed for saying they are) so she why would she talk about it if it didn't really affect her?

I find it a little ignorant when an Asian girl from San Francisco (which has a pretty decent Asian population) believes her oppression to be significant enough to publicize on television and make it out to be SO horrible.
Asians have enormous opportunity living in the bay area and experience much less prejudice than asians living in other parts of the country. I could understand if she had a major complex from living in the south or something.
Furthermore, she was saying that the other Real World roommates were excluding her because she is Asian. For the most part (there are some truly racist people out there), assuming that people don't like you because of your race is a cop out for people who don't want to accept the fact that people may not like them for their actual personality.
Maybe I am just biased because I have been ridiculed by Asians for being half WHITE. I live in a place where I am encouraged to be Asian, that sure sounds like oppression to me.
Who knows...maybe I am wrong and she was somehow very affected by growing up Asian in the bay area. If so, I will be the first to admit that I am wrong. I just find it a little far-fetched right now.
Maybe I should just stop watching the damn show.

im sorry, but i finally saw the real world last night, and i have come to the conclusion that this is going to be the most pathetic, bunch of shitheads ever. I really have no idea where they find these people. the black guy (well, every black guy always has the problem with him being "the black guy" so thats not new)...the goth chick who's "afraid" of large things eg big boats (??). the (hot) country (hot) girl with the vibrator who crys (hotly) about everything...including her feelings on the minority...BULLSHIT. hot bullshit, but BULLSHIT. the asian chick...dude, white people are a minority where you live!....the cocky white guy that has to take his shirt of whenever given the slightest opportunity. the big breasted drama queen who is seceretly a sexually-deprived-bisexual but only proves herself to be "sexually comfortable" and uses any lame excuse to make out with anybody of the household. and last but not least, the artsy-fartsy oh so cute and religious hunk who really does know what agnostics is!
